     NBA Playoffs
     Amare Stoudemire scored 20 as the Phoenix Suns beat the Utah Jazz 100-86 to clinch the third seed in the West and a match-up with the Portland Trail Blazers.
     Derrick Rose scored 27, Joakim Noah had 21 points and 13 rebounds as the Chicago Bulls beat the Charlotte Bobcats 98-89 to earn the 8th playoff spot in the East. The Bulls play Cleveland Saturday at 3:00 PM ET on ABC.
     Caron Butler had 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals as the Mavs got the second seed with a 96-89 win over the San Antonio Spurs. They will play the Spurs again in the playoffs.
     Michael Beasley scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Miami Heat earned the fifth seed and a match-up with the Boston Celtics in the playoffs after a 94-86 2OT win over the 12-70 New Jersey Nets, who finished the season 5-7.

     NHL Playoffs
     Chris Kelly had 1 goal and 2 assists as the Ottawa Senators upset defending champion Pittsburgh 5-4 in the first round. 
     Mike Richards had 1 goal and 1 assist, Chris Pronger had 1 goal and the Philadelphia Flyers beat the 2nd seeded New Jersey Devils 2-1 in the first round.
     Chris Stewart's shot deflected off of Rob Blake (Sharks) skate and into the goal with 50 seconds left as the Colorado Avalanche stunned the top seeded San Jose Sharks 2-1 in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
     Derek Morris scored the game-winning power play goal with 2:19 left as 3 power play goals helped the 4th seeded Phoenix Coyotes beat the 2 time defending Western Conference champion Detroit 3-2 in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

     Jorge Cantu broke the record for consecutive games with a hit and an RBI with a solo homer in the fifth as the Marlins beat the Reds 5-3.
     Chase Utley hit 2 homers as the Phillies defeated the Nationals 14-7 to improve to 7-1.
     Ryan Ludwick scored on an error, Albert Pujous hit an RBI single as the Cardinals dropped the Astros to 0-8 with a 2-1 win on ESPN2.
     Aubrey Huff hit an in the park home run, Eli Whiteside and Aaron Rowand homered as the Giants beat the Pirates 6-0.
     Milton Bradley knocked in 2 runs with a single, Franklin Guitterez hit an RBI single as the Mariners beat the A's 4-2 to improve to 4-6.
     Carlos Quentin hit a grand slam and knocked in 6 RBI's as the White Sox dominated the Blue Jays 11-1.
     Chris Young hit an RBI, go ahead single in the 11th inning as the D-Backs knocked off the Dodgers 9-7 in 11 innings to improve to 5-3.
     Chris Iannetta hit a walk-off homer in the tenth to power the Rockies to a 5-3 record and a 6-5 win in 10 innings over the 2-6 Mets, who have lost 4 straight.
     Ryan Theriot and Kosuke Fukudome each hit 2 run singles in the bottom of the eighth to help the Cubs rally from a 6-3 deficit to improve to 4-4 and 8-3 in their last 11 games at Wrigley Field.
