     Butler vs. Michigan State
As Gordon Hayward grabbed the final rebound of the NCAA Regional Semifinal, he knew what it felt like to win 25 straight.

So did the rest of the team.

Hayward scored 19 and grabbed 9 boards, Shelvin Mack scored 14 and Butler upset Michigan State 52-50. The Bulldogs will play either Duke or West Virginia in the title.

Korie Lucious started MSU off with 2 threes, but Hayward answered with his air on the shots. Hayward hit 2 driving shots and he had 10 of Butler's first 11.

Draymond Green hit 2 mid-range shots, and then he hit a layup as MSU took a 16-9 lead. Shelvin Mack converted a 3 point play, but Durrell Summers of MSU answered with a 3. Mack hit a 3, then no one scored for 3:54 until Garrick Sherman of the Spartans hit a jumper. Hayward hit a 3, but 2 free throws by Sherman and a Summers layup gave the Spartans a 28-23 lead.

Willie Veasley hit 2 free throws and Mack hit another 3 to tie the score up at 28, and the score was knotted at 28 at the half. But Korie Lucious hit a 3, and MSU regained the lead. However, 2 points by 5 different players gave Butler a 38-33 lead.

With 12:18, a fastbreak dunk by Willie Veasley put Butler up 44-37. With 5:31, Butler led 47-41. But a Raymar Morgan rebound and putback cut the deficit to 4. With 2:09, Draymond Green hit a jumper to make it 48-46. But a layup by Gordon Hayward off the O-board put Butler up 50-46.
