Colorado Avalanche vs. San Jose Sharks; Game 2

Crosby scores goal, makes great save, and crazy skating sets up game-winning goal as the Penguins evened up the series with the Ottawa Senators after a 2-1 win.
Daniuis Zubrus scored the go-ahead goal with 4:04 left as the New Jersey Devils beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3 to tie the series.
J.P Dumont scored 2 third period goals, Nashville scored 2 empty net goals in 34 seconds as the Predators beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 to take a 1-0 series lead.
Henrik Zetterburg scored the go-ahead goal 13:54 into the third period, and he had a hat trick (3 goals) as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Phoenix Coyotes 7-4 to even up the series.

Knowing how the San Jose Sharks do in the playoffs, it wasn't surprising that the Western Conference champion lost Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

But Game 2 had the chance to destroy the San Jose Sharks for a while.

Kyle Cumiskey scored 1:10 into the game and had Shark fans thinking bad things, but Manny Malhorta scored a power play goal with :42 left in the first period. The score was tied at 1 after 1.

However, Chris Stewart scored on a breakaway goal :24 into the second period, but 3:19 later teamwork helped Rob Blake score. However, Milan Hedjuk of Colorado scored :25 later. Then Devin Setoguchi scored on a power play to tie it at 3, only to have Brandon Yip to put the Snowstorms on top 4-3.

However, Scott Nichol scored off a rebound 19:45 into the period, and the score was tied 4-4 going into the second intermission. The Avalanche, however, were able to take a 5-4 lead with 14:26 left on Chris Stewart's 2nd goal.

Colorado goaltender Craig Anderson had 46 saves, and he held San Jose scoreless for 13:30. San Jose put Evengi Nabokov, the goalie, on the ice for an extra skater. Dany Heatley took a shot and missed, but captain Joe Pavelski put back the shot with 31.3 left. The game went into OT.

Adam Foote was called for interference during the start of overtime, and the Sharks and their fans knew they had to win during the 2 minute power play. Perhaps 1 player knew best.

Devin Setoguchi put back a rebound for the game winning goal that tied the series for the Sharks as San Jose defeated the Avalanche 6-5 to tie the series at 1. Pick: Sharks in 7

NHL Update: Goals by Tyler Myers and Matt Ellis had Buffalo up 2-0 on Boston, but goals by Zdeno Chara and Michael Ryder tied the game at 2. Buffalo scored, but Ryder tied the game at three and Chara scored to make it 4-3. Mark Reechi scored an empty net goal to finish off Buffalo's first loss while leading after 3 periods.
