SUPER BOWL 43

CARDINALS VS. STEELERS Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Kurt Warner and Edgerrin James lead a strong Cardinals team with great defense in the playoffs that is coming off a 32-25 NFC Championship win over Philadelphia where Fitzgerald had 3 TD's and was able to get open a lot as he had 9 catches for 152 yards vs. the Eagles, and he has 5 playoff TD's. Anquan Boldin is another great receiver and since Pittsburgh will probably double-team Fitz he will most likely play a key role. For Pittsburgh, who has the best defense in the NFL, is led by QB Ben Rothlisberger, RB Willie Parker and WR's Santonio Holmes and Hines Ward. With Ward a little bit banged up, Holmes will need to get open and make receptions. On defense, if they put Troy Polamaou or Ike Taylor and someone else on Fitzgerald and single cover Boldin and they play good run D, they can force Arizona to punt a lot and score on offense. Warner, 37 has more Super Bowl experience than Big Ben, and played better in the games

Cal 09 FB Schedule Annunced

The Cal Bears announced there 2009 football schedule yesterday, and here is the schedule. Maryland Eastern Washington @Minnesota @Oregon USC Bye @UCLA Washington State @Arizona State Oregon State Arizona @Stanford Bye @Washington The 10/10 Washington game was switched to the 5th of December. I think the Bears home game vs. Maryland and road test v. Minnesota will challenge, but I have no idea what is going on with E Wash. Yeah, we can blow them out, but give the team a test. Southern Miss. Notre Dame. Cal shouldn't get into the idea of playing Division II teams. Portland State was O.K in 06, they are good, and so is Eastern Washington, and we beat Portland State 42-16, but don't get into that idea. In the conference schedule, Cal opens @ Oregon in an ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 game, possibly a Gameday game, then another Gameday game chance vs. USC. Then we play in LA at UCLA, where we look to end our LA drought. We then host Wazzou, then have a Halloween date with Arizona State in Tempe. T

NFL Playoff Picks

Arizona defeated Carolina 33-13 by taking advantage of double coverage balls thrown by Jake Delohome, scored about 23 points off turnovers and Larry Fitzgerald had a 27 yard TD catch, and he had a 40 yard catch to set up an Tim Hightower TD run, and James also ran in from 4. Delohome had a horrible 34th birthday while throwing 4 double coverage picks. Steve Smith scored on a 7 yard TD catch with 0:50, and Jonathan Stewart scored from 9 early for Carolina. The Ravens are in the AFC Championship with a 13-10 win over Tennessee. Chris Johnson ran in from 8 in the first quarter, but Derrick Mason dove for a 48 yard TD pass from Joe Flacco. A John Harbaugh challenge helped his team as Rob Bironas missed a 51 yd FG, and later Tennessee fumbled in the red zone. Another big catch, this time by Mark Clayton set up Matt Stover's go-ahead FG with 14:23 left. Trailing 10-7, Tennessee's Bo Scaife fumbled after a hit and Jim Leanord of Baltimore recovered. Tennessee hit a FG, but a 20 yard
