Emerald Bowl recap

A great Emerald Bowl between 2 powerhouses in California and Miami made this Emerald Bowl great. But Zack Follett's sack with 3:28 to go where Jacory Harris fumbled and Cameron Jordan returned the fumble 6 yards to the 2 and on 2nd and goal Nate Longshore found Anthony Miller [ Miller's first catch] and California stopped Miami and won 24-17 depsite Nate Longshore poor final game[10-21] and not throwing to deep receivers and Jeff Tedford didn't put in Kevin Riley and Jahvid Best ran for 186 yards on 20 carries and 2 scores including a 42 yard TD run in the first. Miami's run defense struggled again while allowing 217 rush yards to California. For Miami Graig Cooper caused trouble for Cal depsite only rushing for 63 yards, but Lee Chambers ran for 60 yards too. Jacory Harris threw 2 nice TD's from 9 and 6 yards but threw 1 pick and couldn't score from the 9 on third down [pass complete to the 5] and had to settle for a Matt Bosher FG. Gieorgio Tavekio missed a 34

Champs Sports Bowl preview

The Champs Sports Bowl features 2 former powerhouses in Wisconsin and Florida State and Christan Ponder vs. Dustin Sherer at quarterback and Antone Smith and P.J Hill at running back, and Greg Carr, Bert Reed, Taiwan Easterling and a lot more good receivers for Florida State vs. Garrett Graham, well, the Seminoles probably win that battle. I think that Wisconsin will go on the ground more, so the Seminoles need to work on their run defense and I think for Florida State on offense, they will run on only 1st and sometimes 3rd and will pass to Greg Carr for 2 scores, Taiwan Easterling for 1 TD, Bert Reed for 1 score and Antone Smith will run 1 in and Wisconsin's pass defense wont really show up in a 38-28 Seminole win where Hill runs for 139 yards and 1 TD but Carr catches for 123 yards and 2 scores.

Meineke Bowl Preview

This is a great road test for Pat White's final Mountaineer game as they go on the road to play a UNC team playing on their own turf. North Carolina already won @ 7-5 Rutgers 44-12 and vs. 24 Uconn 38-12, as they look for another Big East blowout. The Heels are coming off a 28-20 win over 4-8 Duke and a 41-10 home loss to 6-6 North Carolina State. West Virginia, is coming off a defensive struggle 13-7 win over South Florida and a 19-15 loss to rival Pittsburgh. If Pat White can throw and run well, his receivers can catch passes, and Noel Devine can throw well, I think North Carolina's T.J Yates wont be able to play as well as White and Pat White goes off a winner 30-17.

Emerald Bowl preview

I think if Cal can take advantage of their opportunities with Jahvid Best and Nate Longshore, they can dominate. With Robert Marve suspended, freshman Jacory Harris will start at QB for Miami, and with Nate Longshore starting his final game, if Longshore wins the Qb battle Cal can win big. With Greig Cooper and Jahvid Best at TB, watch out for the running. Best ran for 311 yards on 19 carries in a 48-7 win over Washington, and Miami allowed 472 yards vs. Georgia Tech and 219 yards on the ground vs. North Carolina State. I think Best won't worry about Cal's injury prone O-Line, score 2 long TD's, Vereen scores from 2 yards, Longshore throws 4 scores and outplays Harris and Best dominates Cooper in the RB matchup, and if Cal's defense can play like the team with 23 picks, 3rd in the nation, I think Harris throws 3 picks and Cal wins 52-31.

2008 BOWL GAMES TO BE SENSATIONAL THIS YEAR Wednesday, December 10, 2008 This year we have 2 holiday break treats: Christmas and Bowl Games. About 15 games are promised to go down to the wire. With Cal-Miami, Florida-Oklahoma, Ohio St.-Texas, Rutgers – NC St., Oklahoma St. – Oregon and TCU- Boise St., why not? Some poll results include North Carolina and West Virginia tied at 50, Cal 75-25 over Miami, BYU 75-25 over Arizona, and Florida St. over Wisconsin 88-12. In the Emerald Bowl, Miami needs to stop the Pac-10’s leading rusher in Jahvid Best, and I don’t think they will and Cal wins 38-19. I think Ian Johnson keys Boise St. to a sensational Poinsettia Bowl win over TCU. I think Ohio St. cannot stop Colt McCoy and Texas beats Ohio St. 41-27. Jerimiah Masoli outplays Zac Robinson and Oregon beats Oklahoma St. 52-48. Florida’s offense is too much for Oklahoma’s defense and Florida wins 45-31. Pac-10 bowls

It is almost bowl season, but 7/8/9 teams have accepted bowl bids, and the Pac-10 is a tough picture. We talk about it now. Rose Bowl: USC Opponent: Penn St.[ official] Southern Cal can go to the Rose Bowl if they avoid any upset vs. rival UCLA in the Carroll/Neuhisel rivalry. UCLA is out of a bowl but still wants upset v. USC. 2 years ago SC lost at the Bruins in a defensive struggle, 13-9. They win 31-10 at UCLA and go to the Rose Bowl. I think PSU wins 23-17 in a defensive struggle. Holiday Bowl: Oregon Opponent: Missouri Oregon increased their Holiday Bowl chances with a 65-38 Civil War win over OSU and will go unless SC loses to UCLA. Then they go to the Sun Bowl, Emerald Bowl or Las Vegas Bowl. Mizzzou would go to the Fiesta Bowl with a Big 12 conference title over 3 Oklahoma. Masoli, Johnson and the rest of the OU players like LeGarrete Blount lead OU to a 45-17 win. Sun Bowl: Oregon St. Opponent: Pittsburgh A loss to Oregon lost the Beavers Rose Bowl hopes and need UCLA to beat

The Axe Is Back!

Cal 37, Stanford 16 Halftime: Score is 10-3 Bears. Cal has not played well besides a nice opening drive that started with a 60 yard pass that looked ike a 7 yard loss, and that led to 3 points and Cal also scored on a impressive pass to Shane Vereen for a 59 yard touchdown. The Cardinal didn't do all that well either, missing a 25 yard FG and fumbling inside the 10, where Cal recovered. Stanford had 3 because Cal stopped them on 3 straight downs from the 1. Cal was picked off in the end zone also, but scored after a fumble.Stanford scored on a 12 play, 72 yard drive that resulted in a field goal. In the second half, Stanford was picked off with 13:48 in the 3rd, and Cal drove 40 yards and Kevin Riley found a wide open Cameron Morrah from a yard out to put Cal up 17-3. 2 minutes, 3 seconds later, Riley completed a pass to Verran Tucker, who lateroled to Jahvid Best for a 14 yard score. After a 41 yard run by Jeremy Ross to the Cardinal 7, and a 4 yard personal foul penalty on Stanfo

Cal vs. Oregon

How is Cal not ranked? How come the BCS polls don't have 25 Oregon at 21 Cal? The difference in the game will be Cal's defense. Cal picked off Kevin Craft 4 times, and he had 3 picks in the last 6 games, making 11 picks on the year. Half were returned for scores in Cal's 41-20 win. I expect the same vs. Oregon, 6-2, 4-1 in conference play, look for their first win at Berkeley since 2001. I expect a 38-24 Cal win because of Riley outplaying Masoli, and the Cal defense. They have a 10+ turnover radio, and a average of 1.43, third in the nation. They held UCLA to 16 rushing yards and have allowed only an average of 301.4 rushing yards per game, their best in 14 years. With 28 points on blocked kicks and 7 on punt returns, Cal is too good for OU.

UCLA @ Cal

I don't see how UCLA can pull off an upset. I've seen 3 ESPN commenters saying UCLA wins. I have no idea how UCLA wins in Berkeley. If UCLA wins, it's because Cal played horrible. Longshore, Best, Vereen, Cunningham and the rest of the Bears will make sure they don't look ahead to next week vs. the Ducks, in Berkeley. The Bruins are 3-4, 2-2 in conference play, and there only wins are at home against 1-6 Wazzu and 4-4 Stanford. Both teams have a combined record of 5-10. UCLA isn't ready for Cal. 42-17 Cal. Explaining Northwestern

Tonight we talk about 25 Northwestern, and their start. The Northwestern Wildcats, their best start in 46 years, may not have deserved this. But C.J Batcher led them past the Iowa Hawkeyes for their first ranking since 2005. The Cats were down 17-3, but came back, made it 17-16 with 2 TD passes, and Batcher hit Eric Peterman for the go-ahead score with 7:54. Even with a missed 2 point conversion, 2 points didn't matter as the Wildcats erased a 14 point defecit for the 22-17 win. The Wildcats also held off Duke, who only lost to them and are 3-1 and they beat Navy, who beat 16 Wake Forest and they beat Virginia 31-3. They only beat Ohio by 8, 16-8, but I think Northwestern will go 11-1 and only lose at home to 12 Ohio State 38-35.

Predictions for Week 4

Player on the Rise: Graham Harrell , Texas Tech While Harrell has thrown for over 1000 yards against Nevada , SMU and Eastern Washington , Umass will be easier. The 11 th ranked Red Raiders get 4 easy non – conference games, so Harrell will have an easier chance of playing well. Wait til Texas Tech brings their game into the Big 12 Player to fall: Willie Tuitama, Arizona Tuitama and Arizona won’t get revenge against UCLA, and even though UCLA lost to BYU by 59, 59-0, AU lost to New Mexico 36-28, and were down 36-21. UCLA is 1-1, and Arizona is 2-1. Tuitama has completed 69 of 104 passes for 792 yards, 8 touchdowns and 2 picks. He will probably throw at least 1 pick vs. UCLA, but Tuitama might not lead the pack. Player on the Rise: Knowshon Moreno , Georgia Yeah, the experts may say Arizona State is a tough game, but Georgia and Knowshon Moreno can handle any opponent. They held off South Carolina and the defense forced 1 or 2 turnovers in the red zo

Patrick and Gary were hilarious in their dreams, and the rest wasn't bad. Suds A+ Better than Sleepy Time! SpongeBob gets the suds, and he asks Sandy to take him to the doctor, but when Patrick tells him about the doctor, SpongeBob asks Patrick to be his doctor. Later, Patrick and Sandy argue about SB. Patrick was hilarious towards the end, and the last part is too funny!

SpongeBob Review 2 Help Wanted/ Reef Blowers/ Tea At The Treedome

The bad part is Tea At The Treedome, but Help Wanted/ Reef Blowers are good. 8.0 Help Wanted Grade B- SpongeBob wants to work at the Krusty Krab, but Squidward and Mr. Krabs don't want him there. They send him out to pick a special spautla, but anchovies arrive and attack Squidward and Mr. Krabs, so can SB save them. I thought it was not half bad for a opener. Reef Blowers C+ A little worse than Help Wanted but not bad. A clamshell is in Squid's yard, and he kicks it to SB's yard. He pulls out his reef blower, much to the annoyance of Squidward. SpongeBob sucks all the water up from Bikini Bottom, and Squid is seriously hurt. Tea At The Treedome F My least favorite in the series. What The? Sandy meets SB, and Sandy invites SpongeBob to a tea party at her house, so SpongeBob asks Patrick about air. Patrick tells him to be fancy, so SpongeBob arrives with flowers. He can't survive without water, which the treedome has noneof, so he starts to shrivel up. Patrick arr

SpongeBob Review 1 Spongicus + Suction Cup Symphony

Spongicus was good, but Suction Cup Symphony had no subject. 9.3 Spongicus Grade A+ Plankton demolishes the Chum Bucket into the Chum Coliseum and hosts a Gladiator show, which makes Mr. Krabs mad. Plankton uses Patrick to get hurt, so SpongeBob saves his buddy. A perfect and funny episode. Suction Cup Symphony Grade C/ C- Squidward notices a symphony ad, and starts composing. But he can't stand SpongeBob's annoying doctor ways, so he tries to go through it. At symphony time, Squidward wrote everything he heard, but does the corwd mind? It's funny, but has no subject.

Week 2 Good Games

A preview for good games this weekend 1 8 West Virginia - East Carolina The Pirates, coming off a 27-22 upset of the Hokies, head in week 2 playing a harder team, 8 West Virginia. The Mountaneers, coming off a 48-21 blowout of Villanova, try to beat the Pirates again, which will be much harder even with the loss of Chris Johnson. Patrick Pinkney will lead the East Carolina offense and the defense looks to stay were they left off. East Carolina 26-23, OT 2 Ole Miss - 24 Wake Forest The Demon Deacons, coming off of a 41-13 blowout of Baylor, look to damage the Rebels like they did with Baylor. If they do, don't be surprised if Riley Skinner leads the pack. The Rebels are coming off of a 41-24 victory against Memphis, so look for Dexter McCluster or Jevan Snead to lead the pack. Expect a close game and a good one. Wake Forest 31-24 3 Miami FL - Florida The Hurricanes are coming into the swamp at night, where it is dangerous of the Gators attacking them. Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin are

Tennessee Vs UCLA Preview

A preview for today's game between 18 Tennessee and UCLA UCLA has Kahlil Bell and Chris Markey at RB, but with the loss of Patrick Cowan and Ben Olson, the QB spot remains open. For the Volunteers, Arian Foster returns for his senior year and Lucas Taylor, who had 1000 yards on 73 receptions last year, returns for his senior year. Both teams are well prepared for this game, but I think it is... Tennessee 38-24

Fresno State vs Rutgers Preview

A preview for today's match between Fresno State and Rutgers With many starters returning, the Bulldogs and QB Pat Hill look to open the season strong and get ready for UCLA and Wisconsin by beating the Scarlet Knights in Rutgers, New Jersey. With Marlon Moore and Ryan Matthews trying to help Hill on the offense, they can beat Rutgers easily. For the Scarlet Knights, with Tiaquan Underwood and Mike Teel, winning could go to them. The Bulldogs start a very hard non-conference schedule that includes UCLA on the road, which should be a great game and Wisconsin at home. The Scarlet Knights need to use this to get ready or road games at South Florida, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati and Uconn at home. My Pick: Fresno State 38-27

Stars Of The Clemson Game

Alabama Star: Javier Arenas A speedy KR who will play CB who will lead them to a close match. He will make it a close game. Clemson Stars: C.J Spiller and James Davis 2 star running backs who will make a big impact in this game. If they win, they will lead them to the win.

Clemson Vs Alabama Preview

A preview for the Clemson Alabama game today. Key players are leaving and returning as that will matter today as Clemson [ranked 9 ] and 24 Alabama face in a battle that will matter a lot and see if Clemson is really number 9. This game will be costly later in the year, as it might result in a bowl loss. No one knows, but these are 2 great teams from 2 great conferences. Clemson 38-31

Good Games This Weekand

This weekend some great games in College Football are being played. Let's take a look at them. This weekend teams like Oklahoma State qand Washington State, Hawaii and Florida, Utah and Michigan, Kentucky and Louisville and many more great games are being played. Just remember to tune in to the games, and always check this website for new surveys, blogs and more.

Oklahoma State vs Washington State Preview

A preview for today's match between Oklahoma State and Washington State Washington State might have lost Charles Dillon and Alex Brink, but that doesn't mean they can't beat Oklahoma State. However, I read a College Football preview saying OKST could beat 4 Oklahoma. With Dantrell Savage, Zac Robinson and Adrius Bowman returning Oklahoma State has a better chance even though Dwight Tardy returned for his juinor year at Washington State. This could a high or a low scoring game, and it could go to both teams but with 3 key starters returning I'm going to say... Oklahoma State 31-24

Michigan State vs California Preview

Right now we break down tomorrow's game between Michigan State and California. California vs Michigan State: The Bears lost some key players like Robert Jordan and DeSean Jackson, but Michigan State probably won't have enough talent to beat the Bears, because the Bears still have RB Jahvid Best and Nate Longshore, and Zack Follett on defense, so Michigan State can't get by too easily on offense and they can't stop Cal too easy on defense, so Cal has an easier chance to win My pick: California 41-27

Illinois vs Misouri Preview

A preview for tomorrow's game between Illinois and Missouri Illinois and Missouri opened the season last year, when the Tigers from Missouri had a big lead and blew it, but still went on to win 40-34. This year, this is a bigger game because Illinois is ranked 20 and Missouri is ranked 6, so don't expect a blowout. This game also will warm Illinois up for Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin, so even if they lose a close one, they will still be warmed up. My pick: Missouri 41-38

Oregon State vs Stanford Preview

A preview for tonight's game between Oregon State and Stanford. This is a opener that will most likely favor Oregon State, but don't leave Stanford and Richard Sherman out yet. Stanford lost some players to the NFL, but the loss of Oregon State's Yvenson Bernard gives Stanford a easier chance. Oregon State still has a talented QB, so the offense won't be easy to stop and the defense won't be easy to get through. My prediction: Oregon State 31-21

South Carolina vs North Carolina State Preview

A preview for tonights game between South Carolina and North Carolina State. This is a great opener for both teams, one they can both win and one they will still need to work hard to win, meaning that this is not a game that they can easily win. NCST could have a improvement from last year, and South Carolina can still do better. This is an opener you might be unhappy with losing later on, because it might cost you a bowl. My prediction South Carolina 31-28, last minute field goal.

The Toughest Confrence

This year in College Football, there are some very strong conferences like the SEC and Pac-10 with teams like Georgia and LSU. Let's talk about those conferences and teams. 4 conferences that could have great teams. SEC This conference is loaded with talent and teams, of course! Some scouts may say that 3 teams from this conference are in their Top 5 [ Georgia, LSU and Florida] which is amazing. This conference also includes Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina and Mississippi State so don't leave them out. My pick to win the conference Georgia over LSU in title game Pac-10 This conference has good teams as well, like USC, UCLA, Cal, Oregon and Arizona State, and even though Cal isn't in the Top 25, they could be a sleeper. The Trojans could be a title contender and ASU, Oregon, and even Cal could be in a BCS bowl. My pick to win the conference: California Big Ten This conference has 2 Ohio State and 13 Wisconsin, and Penn State, Illinois and Michigan could
