2008 BOWL GAMES TO BE SENSATIONAL THIS YEAR
Wednesday, December 10, 2008
This year we have 2 holiday break treats: Christmas and Bowl Games. About 15 games are promised to go down to the wire. With Cal-Miami, Florida-Oklahoma, Ohio St.-Texas, Rutgers – NC St., Oklahoma St. – Oregon and TCU- Boise St., why not? Some poll results include North Carolina and West Virginia tied at 50, Cal 75-25 over Miami, BYU 75-25 over Arizona, and Florida St. over Wisconsin 88-12. In the Emerald Bowl, Miami needs to stop the Pac-10’s leading rusher in Jahvid Best, and I don’t think they will and Cal wins 38-19. I think Ian Johnson keys Boise St. to a sensational Poinsettia Bowl win over TCU. I think Ohio St. cannot stop Colt McCoy and Texas beats Ohio St. 41-27. Jerimiah Masoli outplays Zac Robinson and Oregon beats Oklahoma St. 52-48. Florida’s offense is too much for Oklahoma’s defense and Florida wins 45-31.

SABATHIA A YANKEE
Wednesday, December 10,
This morning the Yankees have made the Yankees – Red Sox rivalry a lot tougher. NY signed top pitching prospect C.C Sabathia to a 7 year, 161 million $ deal. It will make the historic Red Sox-Yankee battle a lot tougher and the Yankees tougher with this amazing Yankee pitcher, said Baily Deeter. I had heard talk about the Mets signing Francisco Rodriguez, and it was like he isn’t that good. The talk about New York or Boston or San Francisco or Milwaukee signing Sabathia was defiantly baseball’s biggest story. I was surprised when I heard one of my favorite teams sign this pitching prospect. It makes the Yankees look in the right place for their 27th championship and the AL a whole lot tougher.

SUNS, BOBCATS MAKE BIG TRADE
Wednesday, December 10
The Phoenix Suns are falling apart. The trade with the Bobcats made them a lot stronger. Phoenix acquired Jason Richardson from the Charlotte Bobcats. They traded top 5th and 6th men Raja Bell and Boris Diaw, and also strong shooting rookie Sean Singletary, while also getting Jared Dudley and a 2nd round draft pick. I heard rumors about Gerald Wallace leaving Charlotte, but never J-Rich. The NBA trades have been big. Zach Randolph in LA, Al Harrington in New York, Jamal Crawford playing for the Warriors and now Jason Richardson in Phoenix. This will help Phoenix catch up with the Lakers in the Pacific division. With Nash, Shaq, Amare, and now J-Rich, the Suns are a very dangerous team you do not want to play.

2009 NFL DRAFT
Wednesday, December 10
The Detroit Lions are 0-13. They’ll be bad for a few years, right? Wrong! The Lions will get the 1st pick in the NFL Draft. With Graham Harrell, possibly Michael Crabtree and Matt Stafford, the Lions will get a possible future star. The Lions also have another pick too in the middle of the draft. At the end of the draft [first round] could be Percy Harvin, Jeremy Maclin, and Jermain Gresham for teams like Carolina, Tennessee, and the NY Giants. For teams looking for a center there is always Cal C Alex Mack. Knowshon Moreno and Beanie Wells are top RB’s, with Javon Ringer too. Matt Stafford and Colt McCoy are top QB’s, with Brian Orkapo of Texas and Ohio State’s Malcom Jenkins and James Laurinitas.
