Ravens at Steelers
Being 4-0 without your starting quarterback would be an amazing feat. And the Steelers were very close to accomplishing that feat.

Close. Very close.

Joe Flacco hit T.J Houshmedzedah for an 18 yard touchdown with 37 seconds left as the Ravens beat the Steelers 17-14 to even the AFC North race up. However, the Steelers have an advantage with Ben Roethlisberger coming back in 2 weeks against Cleveland.

The game started off by Baltimore driving down to the Steelers 29, where they looked to take a 3-0 lead. But Billy Cundiff missed a 46 yard kick, and Pittsburgh got the ball back.

At the Baltimore 33, Charlie Batch went deep left for Antawn Randle El, who caught the ball at the Ravens 1. Rashard Mendanhall plowed in for a touchdown, and the Steelers led 7-0 after the first quarter.

The Ravens started their drive by having Joe Flacco hit Derrick Mason over the middle for 40 yards, and then a penalty on Pittsburgh gave Baltimore an unearned first down. Willis McGahee made some great jukes to score from 9 yards out and tie the game.

Both defenses allowed their opponents to get around midfield, but no one got into field goal range until Flacco led the Ravens to the Baltimore 5. A holding call on Michael Oher took back 10 yards, but Billy Cundiff still nailed a 33 yard kick to give Baltimore a 10-7 halftime lead.

At the start of the second half Willis McGahee fumbled, and Lawrence Timmons recovered at the Ravens 27. The Steelers gained 3 yards, and then Charlie Batch got sacked. Jeff Reed clanged his kick off the post, keeping the score 10-7.

Later in the quarter, Flacco threw a pick to Ike Taylor. However, Pittsburgh just got a missed field goal try out of their last Ravens turnover, and that was the exact same result, as Jeff Reed hooked a 45 yard kick wide left.

In the fourth quarter, Rashard Mendanhall punched the rock in, giving the Steelers a 14-10 lead with 7:14 left in the game. However, on the ensuing drive, Flacco led Baltimore downfield, and before you knew it, they had a 3rd and 10 at the Steelers 2 yard line.

Flacco threw 2 incomplete passes, and the game appeared to be over. Pittsburgh looked like they were going to be 4-0. Until....

Pittsburgh couldn't gain 10 yards, and a holding call on the punt gave the Ravens the ball at the Steelers 40. 2 passes to Anquan Boldin for a total of 12 yards and a pass to T.J Houshmedzedah gave the Ravens the ball at the Steelers 18. On second down, Flacco did a pump fake, leaving Houshmedzedah open.

Flacco threw it to him perfectly, and he caught it for the GW touchdown. The Ravens ended the Steelers undefeated run, and they tied up the division race.

Indianapolis at Jacksonville
Josh Scobee made the 3rd longest GW kick in NFL history, nailing a 59 yard kick as time expired as the Jauguars improved to 2-2 with a 31-28 win over Indianapolis.

Short passes set up Joseph Addai's 2 yard touchdown run early for the Colts, but Maurice Jones Drew and Jacksonville came back. MJD gained 26 yards on 5 carries, and David Garrard scrambled for a 25 yard touchdown to tie the game.

The Colts had to punt, and a face mask call gave the Jags the ball at the Indy 45. A 19 yard end around to Mike Thomas gave Jacksonville 19 yards, and MJD gained 14 yards, and then he scored from 1 yard out.

On the next Indianapolis drive, Reggie Wayne broke open 3 times and Peyton Manning hit him 3 times for a total of 44 yards. Manning hit Dallas Clark for a 7 yard touchdown, and the game was back at 14.

Neither team could gain enough yards on their next drives, and the score was tied up at 14 with 2 quarters to go.

The Colts looked ready to strike, but Anthony Smith intercepted a Manning pass and returned it into Colt territory. David Garrard found Mercedes Lewis for a 15 yard score, and the Jaguars led 21-14. However, Peyton Manning and Indy were driving again.

But this time, Reggie Wayne fumbled. Although the Jaguars picked up the fumble and returned it to the Colts 47, they couldn't get anything out of it. Peyton Manning completed 6 passes for 90 yards, and Joseph Addai plowed the rock in for 6.

Garrard led Jacksonville downfield, and he hit Tiquan Underwood on a 3rd down, and an unnessacary roughness gained Jax 15 yards. On 3rd down MJD ran a slant, and Garrard hit him for 6 points. Jacksonville took the 28-21 lead.

Peyton Manning and Indianapolis needed a touchdown, but it didn't look like they were going to get it. 3 quick incomplete passes made it 4th and 10, but then Manning hit Dallas Clark. On the next play he found Reggie Wayne for 42 yards, then he hit Austin Collie for 6.

Jacksonville got the ball, and on a key play Garrard hit Underwood, who made a great catch, for 22 yards. Garrard nearly threw a pick, and not wanting to risk anything, Jacksonville decided on a field goal kick.

Scobee's leg struck the perfect part of the ball, and the football sailed 5 yards past the uprights. The kick went through, and Jacksonville had improved to 2-2 with a stunning win.
