MLB Playoff Preview
Well, it's that time of year. The MLB playoffs are here, and this time only 3 teams that made it last year are in this year. So let's see how new teams fare, and how the rest of the playoffs plays out.

(3) Cincinnati at (1) Philadelphia
With 37 homers and 113 RBI's, the Cincinnati Reds have relied heavily on Joey Votto. If not him, then it's Jay Bruce, who hit 3 homers in one game and hit the walk-off shot that sent Cincinnati ton the playoffs.

But Bruce and Votto can't always bat. You need a deep lineup like Philadelphia's, with Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jayson Werth, Jimmy Rollins, and many more good players. Ryan Howard leads Philadelphia with 31 homers and 108 RBI's.

With a great pitching staff led by Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels, the Phillies have a very deep lineup. I say the inexperienced Reds will have trouble against the defending NL champion, and the Phillies will sweep Cincy.

(3) Texas at (1) Tampa Bay
Both teams have very deep rosters and either one of these teams is capable of breaking through and winning the American League title, and maybe even the World Series. With Evan Longoria, Carlos Pena, Carl Crawford, and many it other rising stars, Tampa Bay will be hard to stop.

However, the Rangers are returning Josh Hamilton, and with Vlad Guerrero, Jorge Cantu and other good players, Texas won't go down easy. And with C.J Wilson and Tommy Hunter pitching well to compliment Cliff Lee, this could be a good series.

It will be close, but I say David Price comes through and the Rays win 3-2 to advance to the NLCS.

(4) NY Yankees at (2) Minnesota
Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, Michael Cuddeyer, Denard Span, and a whole team of talent. A-Rod, Mark Texiara, Curtis Granderson, Derek Jeter and co. This will truly be a great match-up, even of it is 2 vs 4.

Delmon Young leads the Twins in RBI's and Jim Thome leads the team in homers. So with a deep lineup and Joe Mauer and Morneau included, you can never count Minnesota out. Francisco Liriano will start game one, and Carl Pavano should start Game 2.

For the Yankees, who have a better record than Minnesota, Robinson Cano and Mark Texiara have broke through to help Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez. The Yankees have a deep pitching staff too, with C.C Sabathia and A.J Burnett leading the way.

In a re-match of last year, Minnesota will be looking for revenge. But the Yankees will be hungry, and the pitching staff will domiante. New York in 4.

(4) Atlanta at (2) San Francisco
In a match-up of teams that both haven't made the playoffs since 2005 or later, both teams will be very hungry for a win. Derrek Lee and the Atlanta Braves come to AT&T Park to take on Buster Posey and the Giants.

With Brian McCann, Omar Infante and the rest of a promising ball club, Atlanta decided they needed one more piece to the puzzle. They realized that piece was Derrek Lee, and they traded for him. Lee hit a key homer in Atlanta's playoff-clinching win over Philadelphia.

For the Giants, they have a team full of talent. The top 5 players are Aubrey Huff, Buster Posey, Pat Burrell, Andres Torres and Freddy Sanchez. None are stars, but they are all good. Tim Lincecum leads the way, with Matt Cain and Jonathan Sanchez also in the rotation. Either Madison Bumgardner or Barry Zito will be included in the rotation as well.

Both teams have a lot of talent, but being at home and having a good player at every position, the Giants will win in 4.

NLCS: Phillies over Giants
ALCS: Rays over Yankees
World Series: Rays over Phillies
