NFL Midseason Recap and Prediction AFC East and North

So far, you have seen many surprises as 6-0 Denver and New Orleans, the Vikings not using Adrian Peterson as a huge factor, and the Redskins and Titans struggling. Let's get you updated on all that information.

AFC East-New England Patriots: The Patriots have had surprise losses in the Meadowlands [Jets] and in the Mile High City, but right now they are putting that behind them and trying to take back the AFC East title. The Pats have a small issue at RB, but Tom Brady and Randy Moss key this amazing passing attack.

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins haven't yet met fans expectations, but they need to get in shape for their showdown with the 6-0 Saints. Miami trails the Patriots by 1 and a half games, and to catch them they might need another running back and Chad Henne to stop playing like a rookie.

New York Jets: New York is at their midseason struggle point, but coming off 3 straight losses, including a OT loss vs. Buffalo is unacceptable. Mark Sanchez needs to practice hitting his targets, the receivers need to learn their routes and Thomas Jones needs to score more touchdowns.

Buffalo Bills: They looked strong in their overtime win over the Jets, but a 2-4 record is not what they wanted. An 0-3 division record certainly doesn't help either. But, to help Terrell Owens needs an attitude and Trent Edwards and Marshawn Lynch aren't helping either.

Standings prediction: 1 New England 11-5 2 Miami 9-7 3 New York Jets 8-8 4 Buffalo Bills 4-12

AFC North- Baltimore Ravens: 3 straight close losses don't impress anyone in Baltimore, but a bye gives a team with one of the NFL's toughest schedules prepares for a meeting with Denver. Joe Flacco and the Ravens 3 backs make up a good team, and Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are great ballplayers, but they need wins to show the talent in Maryland.

Cincinnati Bengals: No one really thought that Cincinnati would be 4-2 at this point with wins over the Steelers and Ravens, but Carson Palmer led the Bengals to that. Andre Caldwell has became a top target, and Cedric Benson adds talent to the running game. A good defense make the Bengals a contender to win the AFC North

Cleveland Browns: The Browns have surprised no one with a 1-5 record, but in their only win they put up 6 points, and 3 of them came off of a drive that started at the opponents 20 yard line. This team needs a quarterback, and Jamal Lewis needs to gain more yardage. I see nothing in this team.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger has keyed the Steelers past 3 wins over the Chargers, Lions and Browns but with Denver, Cincinnati, Minnesota and Baltimore twice, Pitt will be tested. Rashard Mendanhall has lots of hidden talent, and a great defense keys this team. They have lots of talent, but a tough schedule gives them the cold shoulder.

Standings Prediction 1 Cincinnati 11-5 2 Baltimore 10-6 3 Pittsburgh 9-7 4 Cleveland 3-13
