Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers Recap

Even after a 5-0 start, Denver still had doubts about beating the Chargers, winning the AFC West. It looks like those guys are gone.

Eddie Royal had a 93 yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a 71 yard punt return to the house, and Darren Sproles returned a punt 77 yards to the house. This marks the first game in NFL history where a player from both team scored on a punt, and a player had a kickoff return for a score. And all that was in the first half.

Elvis Dumervil forced a Phillp Rivers fumble, an amazing grab by Tony Scheffler for a TD and a 52 yard pass completion that keyed the drive where Denver put the game away on Brandon Stokley's TD catch.

Kyle Orton threw 2 touchdowns, making his total 9. He only threw 1 pick during the entire season, and Denver did not turn the ball over during the game. Denver's defense started stuffing the San Diego passing attack and the short pass with space, which is what gave San Diego 10 points.

Denver outscored San Diego 17-3 in the second half, and they finished with 17 straight points. San Diego plays Kansas City on the road and Oakland at home, while Denver has a bye, then they face Baltimore on the road before the defending champs come to the Mile High City on Monday Night.
