The Simpsons Best Episode By Season

One of the greatest TV shows of all time has been running for 22 years now! Let's look back at the greatest episodes by season and remember the classic episodes. Let's go! Season 1: Call of the Simpsons This episode showed Homer trying to get an RV as nice as the one Flanders recently purchased, but when he gets it, he drives into the wilderness with it. This episode is very funny, especially in the "Bigfoot" scene. Great episode. 2nd: Moaning Lisa 3rd: Krusty Gets Busted Season 2: Dancin Homer Homer dressing up as the Springfield mascot and helping the Isotopes to success means good things for an episode. This episode is hilarious all the way through and pretty interesting too. Another work of art. 2nd: Simpson and Delilah 3rd: Blood Feud Season 3: Radio Bart This episode stands above a fantastic season in 3 because of the jokes they made in it, especially when Bart used his new birthday present from Homer, which was a celebrity microphone, to

Shocker pulled off in San Antonio; Tar Heels Knocked Off

VCU vs Kansas Out of any year, this one was the one that just about nobody could of predicted. An 11 seed, an 8 seed, a 4 seed and a 3 seed in the Final Four. At the start of the Elite 8 we thought it would be Kansas, Uconn, Florida and UNC in the Final Four. Only one of those teams made it. It wasn't Kansas. VCU dominated Kansas from beyond the arc and from the free throw line as the Rams shocked the Jayhawks 71-61 to become just the 3rd double-digit seed to make it to the Final Four. Jamie Skeen had 26 points for VCU. Kansas started off well in the first 2 minutes with a 6-0 lead, but that would be the best Kansas played for a long time. The Jayhawks still held a 10-9 lead with just over 14 minutes to play, but that would be their last. Skeen knocked down a 3 and 2 free throws, Brandon Rozzell knocked down a 3, and after offensive fouls and turnovers erased 3 baskets for Kansas, Skeen got a good look from the wing and drained another one. After Kansas cut the defici

Cinderella advances to Elite 8; Another 1 seed goes down

Virginia Commonwealth vs Florida State In Richmond, Virginia, 2 schools are carrying the pride and joy of the town; Richmond, and Virginia Commonwealth. While the former may not have done so well for themselves against top-seeded Kansas, the latter is still riding high. Brandon Burgess scored 26 points and the winning basket with 7 seconds left as Virginia Commonwealth shocked Florida State 72-71 in overtime to move on to the Elite 8, where they will face top-seeded Kansas. Brandon Rozzell added 16 for the Rams. Early on it looked to be a 3 point battle, with 3 triples finding their way through the hoop early, 1 for VCU (Jamie Skeen) and 2 for the Seminoles. It was a hard-fought battle all the way through and with just about 6 minutes left in the first half VCU led 22-21. Then came the run. In that run, Bradford Burgess hit 2 3's from the corner and Darius Theus added 4 more for the Commies, giving them a 34-25 lead (the largest lead of the game). However, they couldn't

1 seed stunned; Gators, Dawgs move on

Arizona vs Duke Whether it was a thunderous dunk, a beautiful pass or a Derrick Williams rejection, everything that Arizona seemed to be doing was right. Well, in the second half. The Wildcats outscored Duke 93-77 in the second half to make it to the Elite Eight, where they will face 3rd seeded Connecticut. Derrick Williams scored a career-high 32 to lead Arizona. Williams made a layup and drained a 3 pointer early to give Arizona the lead, and then he slammed home a miss to cut Duke's lead to 1. But the Blue Devils didn't like close games, especially against teams they could beat. So the Devils took a 31-20 lead and seemed to be on their way to a dominating win. But Williams put in some free throws and 3 treys to make it a 6 point halftime game. However, Williams had just a little less than half of Arizona's points and no one else would step up for the Cats. Everyone thought Duke would shut down Williams and win easily. Well, they did shut down the star of Ar

Wild finish in Tulsa

Arizona at Texas Derrick Williams wasn't having the night of his life. He had barely made over 50 percent of his free throws and he had just missed a possible tying layup. But that would all change with one play. Williams converted a 3 point play with 9 seconds left as Arizona shocked Texas 70-69 and advanced to the Sweet 16, where they take on Duke. Arizona started playing well early, with Brandon Lavender making a pair of 3's and Jordin Mayes hitting 3 in the first half. Arizona led 36-25 at the half, and even though Mayes drained another 3 Texas still had Arizona right where they wanted them. The Longhorns then went ahead and held the lead with 27 seconds left, but Arizona had the ball. Derrick Wiliams had the ball in his hands and took a tough layup, but he missed it. Texas had the ball with 14 seconds left and seemed to have the game locked up. In that previous sentence, seemed would be the key word. A rare 5 second violation was called on the Longhorns, and Arizo

1 seed falls: 2OT game boosts 2 seed

Butler vs Pitt Players were jumping around, laughing, having more fun then they've ever had in their lives. Even the coach was having that kind of fun. But on the other side, it was a different story. A free throw from Matt Howard with 0.8 seconds left and 30 points from Shelvin Mack sent Butler into the Sweet 16 an sent Pitt packing much earlier than they expected. Early on, Matt Howard, Shelvin Mack, Shawn Vanzant and Zach Hahn each hit 3's to give Butler a 30-18 lead. But Pittsburgh wasn't done, and they went on an 11-0 run to make it a one point game, only to watch Mack pull up from the top of the key and send a 3 down the drainage pipes. The Bulldogs led 38-30 at the half. However, the Panthers clawed back and took a 57-54 lead in the second half, and most basketball fans thought the game was under their belt. But Mack made perhaps his most amazing 3 yet, which went in, out, off the glass and in to tie the game. Unfortunately for Butler Gilbert Brown of Pitt w

March Madness Day 1

Morehead State vs Louisville Almost everyone thought Louisville's pool of 4 teams would be so easy. They crush Morehead State then dominated Vanderbilt or Richmond. Well, it didn't really work that way. Demonte Harper drained a 3 with 4.2 seconds left to give Morehead State a shocking 62-61 win over Louisville for the first major tourney upset. Although Harper only had 8 and Terrence Hill scored 23 to carry the load, it was Harper who sent the Eagles to the next round. Morehead State jumped out to a 15-2 lead early, only to watch Louisville go on a 46-26 run and take a 48-41 lead with 10:44 left. However, 3's by Ty Proffit and Terrence Hill made it a one point game, and 2 foul shots from Hill gave the Eagles the lead back. After Louisville went up 50-49, Hill knocked down another 3. Another trey from hill gave Morehead State a 57-52 lead, but Louisville wasn't done. Terrence Jennings scored 4 points to make it a one point game, and Elisha Justice gave Louisville

NIT Update

Mississippi at California Jorge Guiterrez scored 25 points and Allen Crabbe had 20 as Cal held off Ole Miss 77-74 in the first round of the NIT. The Bears travel to Colorado to take on the Buffs Friday night in Round 2. The Bears only allowed the Rebels to 11 seconds, from 18:52-18:41 in the first half. Guiterrez carried Cal by grabbing rebounds and making huge buckets early in the game. In the second half the game went back and forth, with Chris Warren for Ole Miss making nearly impossible 3's. The tempo would change quickly, with Bak Bak for Cal scoring 4 points in a row in the second half and some great passing leading to an Allen Crabbe layup. However, with the game in favor of Cal by 7, Terrence Henry made a thunderous dunk. The momentum seemed to swing, but a technical foul was called on Steadman Short of Ole Miss, giving Cal the 6 point lead back. Then Allen Crabbe got into the action, knocking down a 3 from the wing, a free throw and a jumper. Cal led by 10 late, and

First Four Day 1 Recap

UNC Asheville vs Arkansas Little-Rock UNC Asheville led for 51 seconds in regulation. However, they only needed the lead in overtime, where they got it, thanks to the aid of one player. Matt Dickey drained a 3 from the corner to send the first ever First Four game into overtime, where the Bulldogs survived Arkansas Little-Rock 81-77. They will play top-seeded Pitt at 12:10 PM PT on Thursday. A Solomon Bozeman layup gave Arkansas Little-Rock a 27-16 lead, but a 13-2 run by Asheville made it 29-29. Late in the first half, a Jaron Lane dunk gave UNC Asheville the lead. But it wouldn't last long, for Arkansas Little-Rock led by 4 at the half and extended the lead to 9 early in half 2. The star player for UNC Asheville only had 6 points and the Dawgs' were only losing by 7. So Dickey decided to start taking more shots, and he did. The shots started falling, and the Trojan lead started to fade away. Dickey got 5 points in a span of 46 seconds, then he added another poin

March Madness Brackets Announced; Breaking Down the Decisions

Finally! March Madness is here, and all 68 teams have been announced and March Madness is ready to go. From top-seeded Ohio State to bubble-burster VCU, every team has just one goal; win the championship. Surprising picks: A lot of people were surprised how UAB and VCU got in. St. Mary's and Colorado, 2 very deserving teams, were left out. Colorado beat Texas and Missouri once and Kansas State 3 times! All 3 teams are in the tournament. St. Mary's started the season off great but faded at the end, but the Gaels still beat Gonzaga, St. Johns, and Hartford, not to mention a heartbreaking loss at BYU. UAB made it in on a 22-8 record, which is reasonable, but St. Mary's had a 25-8 record. Plus, UAB didn't beat any Top 50 RPI team, and they lost to Tulsa, Arizona State and Southern Miss, 3 teams with very disappointing seasons. Although the Blazers had a great season, their bid to the Big Dance is questionable. VCU was also a great team, with wins over Wofford, UCLA

Conference Championship Recap

Brief Summaries Akron vs Kent State Brett McKnight wasn't going anywhere. He had just been suspended, and was sitting on the bench during the most crucial moment of the game. But 2 free throws changed that. McKnight made 2 free throws to give Akron a one point lead, and 2 blocks sealed the win that powered Akron to a one point OT win over Kent State to win the MAC Title. McKnight led Akron with 15 points in the win. Washington vs Arizona Down 68-65, Washington needed someone to step up. They got it. Then, in overtime, they needed it again. They got it, and a Pac-10 championship. Isaiah Thomas scored 28 points and hit the buzzer-beating shot as Washington beat Arizona 77-75 in overtime to capture the Pac-10 title. Down 68-65 in regulation, Thomas weaved through 2 players and dished it out to Matthew Bryan-Amaning, who drilled a 3 to tie the game. Then, in OT, Isaiah Thomas drilled a fadeaway to give Washington the Pac-10 title. Harvard vs Princeton Douglas

2 more teams seal tourney bids; Officiating errors cost Rutgers

Rutgers vs St. John's OK, maybe Rutgers wouldn't have been going much farther in the Big East tournament, but they at least deserved a shot. But the refs took that away. 2 controversial calls late in the game, including an obvious travel and step out of bounds handed St. John's a 65-63 win over Rutgers and stole any chance that Rutgers had of advancing in the tournament. St. John's took a 26-17 lead early, but Rutgers cut the deficit to 4 at the half and made it a 2 point game early in the half, which seemed to give them momentum. But then, with the scoring aids of 6 different people, the Red Storm took a 53-43 lead with about 8 minutes left. But unfortunately for them it wouldn't last, for Rutgers took a 1 point lead with 57 seconds to go. With 11 seconds left and Rutgers trailing by 1, Mike Coburn went for a shot. Although an obvious foul occurred on the play nothing was called, and St. John's still led. However, then came the ultimate referee bl

Arkansas-Little Rock and South Florida pull off stunners

South Florida vs Villanova South Florida trailed by 16 and had never beaten Villanova. South Florida was 9-22 and Villanova was 21-10. So how did it happen that South Florida was able to pull off the crazy win? Villanova playing like they did in those 10 losses. South Florida rallied from down 49-33 at the half and stun Villanova 70-69 to keep their improbable NCAA Tournament chances alive. Shaun Noriega scored 22 points and Anthony Crater made the 2 biggest baskets in his life to make the win possible. Early on, Noriega was unstoppable. He hit 4 three pointers in a span of 3:03, giving the Bulls the 16-8 lead. Although Villanova would eventually tie the game, another Noriega 3 had USF riding high with the 26-21 lead. However, the Bulls got tired and allowed a 19-3 run from Villanova, then a 7-0 run from the Wildcats. At halftime the Bulls trailed by 16, but in the second half, things would change. 3 free throws and a 3 from Noriega cut the deficit to 10, and then Jawanza Po

MVC Tournament; Pac-10 Basketball Update;

Indiana State vs Missouri State After a tough loss to Morehead State, Indiana State was spiraling downhill at 15-13. But 5 wins later, Indiana State has a tournament bid. Aaron Carter scored 15 as Indiana State rallied from down 9 to upset top-seeded Missouri State 60-56 and claim the MVC title and their first tourney bid in 10 years. The game seemed to be a blowout early when Missouri State took a 9-0 lead early, but a few triples and some free throws helped turn a 9 point deficit into a 2 point lead for the Sycamores. However, Missouri State was the one on top at halftime, leading 31-28. Early in the second half, with the game tied at 38, Aaron Carter went on a scoring spree. First, he made a three, then on the Sycamores next possession he took it to the hole and made a lay-up. 3 free throws later, Indiana State held a 46-38 lead. However, Missouri State came back and cut the deficit to 57-56 with less than a minute to go. With 2 seconds left the Bears had a chance to w
