The Simpsons Best Episode By Season

One of the greatest TV shows of all time has been running for 22 years now! Let's look back at the greatest episodes by season and remember the classic episodes. Let's go!

Season 1: Call of the Simpsons
This episode showed Homer trying to get an RV as nice as the one Flanders recently purchased, but when he gets it, he drives into the wilderness with it. This episode is very funny, especially in the "Bigfoot" scene. Great episode.
2nd: Moaning Lisa
3rd: Krusty Gets Busted

Season 2: Dancin Homer
Homer dressing up as the Springfield mascot and helping the Isotopes to success means good things for an episode. This episode is hilarious all the way through and pretty interesting too. Another work of art.
2nd: Simpson and Delilah
3rd: Blood Feud

Season 3: Radio Bart
This episode stands above a fantastic season in 3 because of the jokes they made in it, especially when Bart used his new birthday present from Homer, which was a celebrity microphone, to play pranks. Very interesting, and the best episode from seasons 1-3.
2nd: Homer at the Bat
3rd: Flaming Moe

Season 4: Duffless
Season 4 is amazing too, with so many great episode to choose from, but I have to go with Duffless. The funny parts stood out, and Homer going to a Duff brewery, getting arrested and going without beer for a month means a pretty good episode. This would be the best episode until Season 5.
2. Marge vs the Monorail
3. I Love Lisa

Season 5: Cape Feare
This is definitely the best episode of all time. While this season isn't as good as 4 or 3, this episode is amazing. Sideshow Bob returns and tries to kill Bart, and the Simpsons relocate to Terror Lake. This is definitely the funniest episode of all time, and if you mix it with a good plot like this you get a perfect episode.
2. Bart Gets an Elephant
3. Burns' Heir

Season 6: Bart vs Australia
This is another hilarious episode, and an interesting one too. The part where Bart makes a collect call is funny, and the writers managed to finish with a good part in Australia. Perfectly crafted and one of my all time favorites.
2. Itchy and Scratchy Land
3. Bart's Comet

Season 7: 22 Short Films About Springfield
An episode full of shorts has a lot of laugh out loud funny parts, like when Homer loses Maggie in a newspaper dispenser and Bumblebee Man breaking everything in his house. This episode has many funny parts and would have been better than all episodes in 1-4 and 6. Very funny and nicely put together.

Season 8: Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase
Season 8 isn't the best season, but this episode is still good. When Chief Wiggum goes to New Orleans and Moe's Love-Tester machine make a great episode. It is very funny at the end of Wiggum's (and Principal Skinner's) adventure, and Moe's love-testing machine is also great. Simpsons have still got it.
2. You Only Move Twice
3. Brother from Another Series

Season 9: The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson
Homer's trip to New York made up a great episode in both interesting and funny. Barney driving Homer's car to New York and forcing Homer to drive there to get it back makes up a very funny and good episode. The Simpsons is riding high through Season 9.
2. Das Bus
3. Last Temptation of Krusty

Season 10: Wild Barts Can't Be Broken
When the Isotopes win the championship, Homer and his friends go crazy and destroy Springfield Elementary. The police conclude a kid did this and slap a curfew on the kids, leading to a great episode. Probably the best Nelson episode and a great Homer episode at the start.
2. Maximum Homerdrive
3. Old Man and the C Student

Season 11: Last Tap Dance in Springfield
Wild Barts Can't Be Broken would be the last classic (and popular) episode until Season 12, but Last Tap Dance in Springfield really deserves more credit. From Ralph in a tap-dancing class to Bart and Milhouse roaming and destroying the mall (and Wiggum concluding it was a giant rat) made this a great episode.
2. Saddlesore Galactica
3. Behind the Laughter

Season 12: Treehouse of Horror XI
Most Treehouse of Horror's are good but not popular, but this can be an exception. Lisa freeing the leader of the dolphins, Homer needing to do one good deed to get into heaven and Bart and Lisa in Goldilocks makes a good episode. Nice job in the horror episodes!
2. HOMR
3. Day of the Jacknapes

Season 13-15: Simple Simpson, Season 15
Homer becoming pie-man and splattering people in the face with pies in this episode, and the Simpsons going to the state fair makes it even better. I love the part where Ralph is about to get cut into bacon at the bacon factory. What a great episode!
2. How I Spent My Strummer Vacation, Season 14
3. The Old Man and the Key, Season 13

Season 16-17: Future-Drama
The Simpsons visiting the future means a great episode. Bart and Lisa use a machine from Professor Frink to visit the future and see what their lives are like. The best part is the scene selection on the remote. This is a good episode. The Simpsons aren't done yet!
2. See Homer Run, Season 17
3. The father, the Son, and the Holy Guest Star, Season 16

Season 18-19: Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind, Season 19
Homer feeling lonely and going into his memory bubble, where he sees previous memories of himself, is what happens in this episode. This is a great episode, especially at the end when Homer holds his party. The Simpsons won't go down without a fight!
2. 24 Minutes, Season 18
3. Treehouse of Horror XVII, Season 18

Season 20: Father Knows Worst
This episode would fit perfectly in Season 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7. Nothing is wrong with this episode, with great jokes and comedy scenes. When Homer visits Bart and Lisa's class and "helicopter parents" them after burning his tongue in a fire, they start to become more popular and smarter, which doesn't last long.
2. Burns and the Bees
3. Mypods and Boomsticks

Season 21: The Bob Next Door
Sideshow Bob moves in next door designed as a man named Walt Warren, and he takes Bart to the fictional "Five Corners", where he plans to kill Bart. The real Walt Warren escapes from jail and guides the Simpsons to the crime scene, where Bart is. This is a very funny episode, especially when Homer tries to order a taco in Mexico.
2. Million Dollar Maybe
3. Thursdays With Abie

Season 22: MoneyBart
Lisa becomes the manager of Bart's baseball team and leads the junior Isotopes to success, but Bart is kicked off the team for not obeying Lisa. However, Bart is needed in the championship game, and he comes back. This is very funny, and it has a great plot. The Simpsons is going strong after 22.
2. How Munched is that Birdie in the Window
3. The Scorpion's Tale
