Giants Baseball; Giants Rally, Beat Padres in Twelve Innings

When Aubrey Huff went over to catch a foul ball, Mat Latos had some words for him.

Huff, who was 0-3 on the night, was being teased by Latos. Little did Latos know what would come next.

Huff's home run in the ninth tied the game at one, and the Giants scored five runs in the sixth to win 6-2. Pablo Sandoval extended his hitting streak to 22.

With Heath Bell pitching in the ninth, Huff lined a change-up deep to right, where his hit barely cleared the fence, and stayed fair.

In the twelfth, Cody Ross walked, and Emmanuel Burriss pinch-ran for him. Burriss stole a base, Eli Whiteside walked, and Brandon Crawford's bunt got all runners on base safely.

Unfortunately, Miguel Tejada and Andres Torress got out, with no runners advancing, but Mike Fontenot's walk knocked in a run. Pablo Sandoval added two with a single to left.

When the Padres and Giants thought it was over, Nate Schierholtz lined another single, and so did Aubrey Huff. Each one knocked in a run, and San Francisco led 6-1.

Brian Wilson started warming up when Cody Ross walked, but he wasn't needed until Javier Lopez got into trouble. With the bases loaded and one out, Will Venable was up.

He helped both teams, in a way, as his sac fly gave the Padres a run, but it also got the Giants to needing just one out for the win. After a walk to Chris Denorfia, Wilson got Jason Bartlett to ground out, ending the game.

Sandoval's hitting streak, which is the longest active streak so far, has been going well for him and the Giants, as he has helped the Giants win many games during his streak.

However, Sandoval will be facing Dustin Moseley, who has done well against the Kung Fu Panda. Last time Moseley faced Sandoval, the Panda got two singles off the bullpen in a fourteen-inning Giants win, but nothing off Moseley.

With tonight's win, the Giants are three-and-a-half-games ahead of the second place Diamondbacks, who play Matt Kemp and the Dodgers.

Tim Lincecum will take the mound tonight.
