Colts at Patriots
This game has kind of turned into an annual rivalry. Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady, 2 of the best quarterbacks in the league. But this year, a new person; out of D-II Chadron State stepped up to the task.

Danny Woodhead scored on an amazing, cutback 36 yard touchdown, then made a great tackle that drew even more applause on the ensuing kickoff. That touchdown run; and a late interception, lifted the Patriots to a 31-28 win and an 8-2 record.

The Colts started with the ball, but just as Indy was driving, Brandon Meriweather closed in on a pass over the middle, intercepted it and returned it to the Colts 39. 3 plays later Tom Brady hit Wes Welker for a 22 yard score, and New England led 7-0.

After a Colts punt, Tom Brady got to work again. Brady led a 15 play, 87 yard drive, and although he fumbled at the 3 yard line, receiver Wes Welker recovered, another big play from the wideout. On the next play Brady hit tight end Aaron Hernandez for a score, and the Pats were on top 14-0.

On the ensuing Colt possession, coach Jim Caldwell stuck to his no-huddle offense. For the first time in the game, it worked, as Manning led Indy to the one. He found Gijon Robinson for a touchdown, and the score was now 14-7.

However, once the Pats got the ball they were ready. Back-to-back passes for 25 and 16 yards helped set up a Benjarvis-Green Ellis scoring run. Once again, the Pats had a 14 point cushion.

But Manning wouldn't let his team into halftime down 21-7. He engineered a 12 play, 69 yard drive that ended with a 11 yard TD pass to Reggie Wayne. At the half, it was only 21-14.

The Patriots opened the second half with the ball, but they couldn't do anything. The Colts threatened, getting into New England territory, but they were yet to strike. However, they did give the Pats poor field position.

The Patriots picked up short chunks of yardage, and play-by-play they were putting together a good drive. And with the ball at the 36, Brady handed it off to Danny Woodhead. Woodhead ran up the middle, made a juke, stumbled, broke a tackle, cut to the sideline and dove into the end zone.

After giving New England a 28-14 lead, Woodhead made an impact on special teams, too. He made a great tackle on special teams, that ended up setting up a field goal. Devin McCourty intercepted a Manning pass, and Shayne Graham nailed the kick.

Up 31-14, you would think that the Patriots would have the game in their hands. But a 44 yard run by Donald Brown set up a Blair White TD, and the game was now 31-21. Then New England went 3 and out, giving Indianapolis more life.

With a mix of different short passes, Indianapolis stormed down the field. After an 18 yard TD to Blair White, the game was easily winnable for Indianapolis. A 3 and out made it even easier.

Using the same strategy that cut the deficit to three, the Colts got inside the Patriots 25 yard line. But on a 15 yard pass, Manning overthrew his target, and James Sanders made a leaping interception to seal the deal.

The Patriots improved to 8-2, while Indy sits at 6-4.
