Broncos vs Steelers

Andre Goodman and Syd Quan Thompson returned interceptions for touchdowns, Tim Tebow threw a touchdown and the Broncos beat the Steelers 34-17. Pittsburgh lost it's first game, while Denver won their first game.

Kyle Orton led a nice Bronco drive with key completions to Brandon Lloyd and Eddie Royal, and then LenDale White had a nice run, which he followed up with a touchdown. The Broncos led 7-0.

But Pittsburgh came right back. Big Ben hit Mike Wallace, who caught the ball, and then went around 3 guys before being tackled. Pittsburgh settled for a field goal.

Then, Pittsburgh came back with the ball. Dennis Dixon led them downfield, and they had the ball in the red zone. But on 3rd down, Dixon was blitzed, and he let the ball go. Perrish Cox made the catch, got both feet in bounds, and preserved the Denver lead.

But then, the defense came through. Kyle Orton led a field goal drive to give Denver a 10-3 lead, but Pittsburgh was driving. They were at the Denver 30.

Dixon threw it to the left side, where Andre Goodman closed out, deflected the ball, took it, and ran 80 yards to the house. The Broncos led 17-3 at halftime.

In third, Denver got another field goal. Tim Tebow came in, and he completed some good passes. But then he threw an interception, and Pittsburgh had the ball at the Broncos 5. Jonathan Dwyer punched the ball in for a TD.

However, Tim Tebow got the ball in the hole for a 24 yard pass early in the fourth, then Lance Ball ran 43 yards around the left end. Tim Tebow hit Eric Decker for a touchdown, and the score was 27-10.

Dwyer did what opposing defenses did to Denver in 2009: run. Dwyer gained 17 yards up the middle, and then he went around the right tackle for 40 yards. Charlie Batch found rookie Antonio Brown for a 7 yard TD.

Denver couldn't score, but they got defensive help. On a route to the right by the running back, Thompson closed-out, caught the ball, and ran for a touchdown. When he returned his next punt, he ran 62 yards, using his strength and speed. He could be really good.

Denver won 34-17.
