Wisconsin vs TCU
If you are going to keep calling these "little teams" weak and unable, do what you want. But here are some examples of little guys winning over AQ teams. Air Force beat Georgia Tech. San Diego State bested Navy. UCF upset Georgia. And now you have TCU.

Andy Dalton accounted for 2 touchdowns, Tank Carder had a sack and batted down Wisconsin's late 2 point conversion try as TCU held on to beat Wisconsin 21-19 in the Rose Bowl.

The first play from scrimmage was a run right to Montee Ball, who found a seam and galloped 40 yards to the TCU 28. Although the Badgers couldn't punch it in for a touchdown, Phillp Welch nailed a 30 yard field goal, giving the Badgers a 3-0 lead early.

But the Horned Frogs would answer. TCU converted 2 third downs, both passes to Jimmy Young, getting the Frogs to the Wisconsin 26. After a 3 yard rush Dalton went to Bart Johnson on a deep slant, getting the Frogs ahead. But Wisconsin would answer.

Without a single 3rd down, Wisconsin got to the 29, where Scott Tolzein found Bradie Ewing for a 28 yard gain. At the one yard line, John Clay bulled in for 6, putting the Badgers back on top.

However, the Horned Frogs got good field position, and on second and 9, TCU went play-action. Wideout Josh Boyce got downfield, and Dalton hit him for a 42 yard gain. 8 yards later, they went for a bootleg, and the fake handoff was just enough time for Dalton to slip by a Wisconsin defender and score to make it 14-10 after 1.

Nobody had failed to score points on a possession, but that would end. Wisconsin converted a 4th down and got to the TCU 22, but Phillp Welch, 8-8 on field goals from less than 40 yards away, hooked a 39 yarder left. However, TCU went 3 and out, and Wisconsin got the ball back.

The Badgers were going nowhere and facing 4th and 9, so coach Bret Bilemma went for a fake punt. It worked, as Brad Nortmann ran up as to punt the ball and then ran with it, picking up 11 yards. Wisconsin converted a 3rd and 8 and a 3rd and 12, setting up a 37 yard kick for Phillp Welch, which he wouldn't miss.

In the third quarter, momentum went TCU's way. They started with the ball and got a first down on a pass interference call, and on second and 9 Ed Wesley picked up 33 on a screen, bumping into many defenders and staying on his feet. Jimmy Young caught a 12 yard pass, and Matthew Tucker ran 12 yards up the gut to the 1, setting up a Luke Shivers TD run.

However, Wisconsin was driving and had a 3rd and 6 at the TCU 37. They were close to scoring, but Tank Carder had other ideas. He sacked Tolzein for a loss of 8, forcing the Badgers to punt.

However, neither team would score until late in the fourth. TCU got into Badger territory 3 times but couldn't score, while 2 runs for 44 yards got Wisconsin to the TCU 33. A pass to Lance Kendricks moved the chains, and after converting a 3rd and 1 they were at the TCU 8. They got to the 4, where Montee Ball scored on a run right. The score was 21-19.

The 2 point conversion had Tolzein hitting his tight end on a curl route. With the tight end wide open, some defensive end or linebacker had to make a play, or TCU had to hope for a miracle. Luckilly for them, they didn't need one. Tank Carder batted the ball away, leaving the onside kick as Wisconsin's only hope.

The kick went high, but it also went 13 yards and into the arms of TCU's Bart Johnson. However, with 1:59 left the game wasn't over until TCU got a first down. And on 3rd and 4, Waymon James bullied through the right side of the offensive line, and he got the first down and he got TCU the win.

Florida vs Penn State (brief)
Ahmad Black returned an interception 80 yards to the house as Florida sent Urban Meyer out a winner with a 37-24 Outback Bowl win over Penn State. Penn State QB Matt McGloin threw 5 interceptions in the game.

Penn State struck first after an interception set up a TD, but Floria answered when Omarius Hines took a reverse 16 yards to the house. Later in the half, Soloman Patton blocked a punt and Florida scooped it up and took it to the end zone. However, Penn State would fight back with a field goal and a Michael Zordich TD run, giving them the 17-14 halftime lead.

Florida tied the game on a field goal, but Matt McGloin ran for a touchdown to give Penn State the lead back. After another Florida field goal, the score was 24-20. However, Florida got back at the Nittany Lions with a field goal and a Mike Gillipsie touchdown run, and right when Penn State was driving...

On 3rd and 3 Penn State went for a drag to the tight end. However, McGloin didn't see safety Ahmad Black, who intercepted the pass and took it 80 yards for the touchdown. The final score was 37-24 in favor of the Gators.
