Montreal Canadiens vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Down 3-1 to the best team in the league in the first round of the playoffs, you would think Montreal was done. But they won. Down 3-2 to the team with the most playoff experience, you would think they were done.

But, they won again.

Brian Gionta scored 32 seconds into the game, Montreal built up a 4-0 lead that Pittsburgh couldn't overcome as Montreal stunned Pittsburgh 5-2 to advance to the Eastern Conference Final.

Pittsburgh was called for a penalty :10 into the game, and Brian Gionta scored :32 into the game. Dominic Moore scored 14:23 into the period to give Montreal a 2-0 lead after 1.

In the second period, Jaroslav Halak continued his amazing goaltending, and Mike Cammalleri scored 3:32 into the period, and Travis Moen scored a short-handed goal. Montreal thought the game was in the bag, but Chris Kunitz scored 3:22 later for Pittsburgh. Jordan Staal scored 16:30 into the period, and Pittsburgh started coming back.

Pittsburgh had the puck in their offensive zone for most of the 1st half of the 3rd, but Jaroslav Halak stopped all their shots. And, on a power play, Montreal took the puck to their offensive zone and Brian Gionta scored again.

Halak didn't allow any more goals to finish with 37 saves, and the Canadiens had won 5-2 and they had done what no 8 seed has ever done; defeat the President's Cup winner and the defending Stanley Cup champion.

The Canadiens will face the Bruins or the Flyers. The series is tied 3-3.

Bruins vs. Flyers
Michael Leighton stopped 30 shots, Mike Richards and Danny Briere scored for Philadelphia as the Flyers evened up the series at 3 with Boston. Boston originally led 3-0.
