3 Reasons Why The Orlando Magic Could Make History

Once the Orlando Magic fell behind 3-0 to Boston with a road game coming up, most people thought Boston would grab the broom. But they couldn't do it, thanks to 32 points and 16 boards from Dwight Howard. Jameer Nelson scored 24 and had 5 boards and dimes, and now Orlando is down 3-2. Let's see how Orlando could complete the improbable comeback.

1 Momentum: When Orlando took Game 4 in OT to send the series back to Orlando, Orlando racked up the momentum. After the Game 5 blowout, they have enough momentum to win by 10 in Boston. Jameer Nelson is averaging 23.5 PPG in Orlando's wins this series, and Dwight Howard is averaging 26.5 PPG and 13 RPG in Orlando wins. Now that Orlando has their groove, they could easily handle the C's in Game 6.

2 Belief: Even when they fell behind 3-0, Dwight Howard had Orlando believing. It helped him and his teammates (especially Jameer Nelson) perform better to squeeze out an OT win. Belief carried over to Game 5, where the Magic easily handled Boston (113-92). If Orlando keeps believing, then I see no reason why they can't complete the comeback.

3 Talent/Age: The Boston Celtics may have a great team, but out of their Big Four, only Rajon Rondo is young. Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson are young, while Rashard Lewis and Vince Carter are pretty young and experienced. If Orlando can drive to the hoop and move around fast to get open, Boston will get worn out and Orlando will have a huge advantage. If Vince Carter can make the same impact he did in games 1 and 2, and Rashard Lewis steps up, Orlando can easily win this series.

Prediction: I think the momentum and belief will carry over to Game 6 for Orlando, and they will find a way to wear out Boston and win Game 6 102-92. In Game 7 the home crowd will prove way too much for Boston, and Orlando will win 112-94 to complete history.

Fact: Last year, Orlando trailed Boston 3-2 in the Conference Semis, and they won at home to tie the series. Then, they carried the momentum over to Game 7 for a 105-82 Game 7 win. That is another big reason why I think Orlando will win by 10 in Boston and win the series.
