Orange Bowl recap
Ricky Stanzi found his game, Adrian Clayborn had a monster performance and Iowa held off Georgia Tech 24-14 in the 76th annual Orange Bowl. In the first quarter Stanzi found Marvin McNutt for a score, and he threw another TD pass up high, where Colin Sandeman grabbed it for a 21 yard score.

But Tech wasn't done yet. Jerrad Terrent undercut a slant pass by Stanzi and he returned the pass 40 yards to the house, making it 14-7. That would remain the score up until the half. On Tech's opening possession of the second half, they missed a FG and Iowa turned that into a FG. But Tech's offesne got rolling again, and Anthony Allen made it 17-14 with a one yard run. But Iowa drove downfield again, but Tech stopped them in the red zone. Iowa faked a field goal and they missed it.

Jonathan Dwyer barely escaped a safety, and Tech had to punt it. Ricky Stanzi found Trey Strauss on 3rd and 8 and the Hawkeye running game did the rest, and freshman back Brandon Wegher scored from 32 yards out to seal the celebration for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
