New Mexico Bowl
Under new head coach Dave Christensen, the Wyoming Cowboys were looking for a good football reputation. This win may earn them one.

Wyoming rallied from an 11 point fourth quarter deficit and Austyn Carta-Samuels hit David Leonard for the GW touchdown pass. The Cowboys also held Fresno cold on 4 downs from the one yard line.

After an interception set up a TD that had Fresno State up 28-17, Austyn Carta-Samuels threw a TD pass to David Leonard and he found Greg Bolling for 2 and Wyoming trailed 28-25.

But Fresno State had a good punt return and they were facing third and four at the Wyoming 32. Ryan Mathews of Fresno State got the first, but the ball was stripped and recovered by Wyoming.

Facing 4th and 2 with 5:55 left, the Cowboys tried a fake and they got it. They faced 4th and 2 at the 45 and Carta-Samuels ran 6 yards for the first. David Leonard caught a 6 yard pass on 4th and 4. Wyoming then went for a field goal and the game was 28 all.

Fresno got to the one yard line, but the Wyoming defense dug in. They stopped Ryan Mathews twice and Ryan Colburn once, and Mathews dove on fourth down. But he was hit by a Cowboy and stopped short. But Ian Watts hooked a 40 yard field goal and it was going into 2OT.

On third down and 10 from the 13, Carta-Samuels scrambled and the freshman threw a ball to David Leonard. Leonard made an amazing grab and the Wyoming defense held on for a 35-28 2OT win in the most dramatic of the 4 New Mexico Bowls.

St. Petersburg Bowl
From early on in the game, you would have known that this Rutgers football team was better than UCF. This was just a little something to prove it.

Momahed Sanu ran for 41 yards and 2 touchdowns and he caught another and Rutgers rolled over the Knights of Central Florida 45-24.

Tim Brown caught a 61 yard touchdown pass and Damaso Munoz retunred an onside kick 35 yards for a score that helped seal the deal for the Scarlet Knights.

Billy Anderson put Rutgers up 28-17 with a pick-6 and he gave Rutgers momentum going into halftime. Rutgers finished 9-4 and won their 4th straight bowl game while Central Florida is now 0-3 in bowl games.

Dallas vs. New Orleans
If their was one team to go 16-0, it was the Saints. With Dallas, who struggled in December, Tampa Bay and Carolina, an undefeated season looked sure. Not anymore.

DeMarcus Ware overcame some pain in his neck and he forced 2 fumbles, including the one that sealed the game.

Tony Romo found Miles Austin for a 49 yard touchdown pass and Marion Barber ran for a touchdown and Dallas held a 14-0 lead after one. Ware forced a fumble that Dallas turned into a field goal and Dallas led 17-3 at the half.

Barber scored another TD and Dallas led 24-3, but New Orleans was best known for comebacks. Mike Bell ran to the left and scored from one yard out and Drew Brees hit Lance Moore for a TD and all of the sudden the score was 24-17 with 5:29 left.

On third and seven, Tony Romo found Miles Austin, who ran to the 45 for a 28 yard gain. Dallas was soon set up for a 24 yard field goal, but Nick folk missed it off the post and the Saints needed 80 yards to tie the game.

On fourth and ten Drew Brees found Marques Colston, who slipped a tackle for the first. Pierre Thomas picked up a first on third and five and soon the Saints were at midfield.

But fans who said New Orleans would win spoke too soon. DeMarcus Ware sacked Drew Brees and he forced a fumble that Dallas recovered, sealing the game. Dallas is 9-5 and they travel to Washington before a home game with the Eagles.

NFL Fantasy Advice
Start Em'
Tim Hightower, RB, Arizona
A win here would almost seal the NFC West for Arizona, but playing Detroit they will probably take an early lead and feed Hightower a little bit in the first half and consistently during the second half. Expect a lot from Hightower and if you have Beanie Wells, start him. Oh, and by the way, Arizona wins 34-13.

Quinton Ganther, RB, Redskins
Last week vs. Oakland Ganther scored on 2 short touchdown runs, so he should be their goal line back. I expect a touchdown or 2 and about 50+ yards from Ganther and I would not be surprised if the Redskins come through and beat the Giants on Monday.

Broncos Defense
The Denver defense has played well under DC Mike Nolan, and I expect another good game against Tom Cable and the Raiders. I think that Denver will be able to hold Oakland to a low amount of points and force turnovers. I also have Denver winning 30-13.

Sit Em'
Jay Cutler, QB, Bears
In terrible conditions up in Baltimore, Cutler should not be able to complete many passes and I expect more interceptions than touchdowns. This trade looks to be a bust for the Bears and that will show this week. I also have Baltimore winning 26-13. Oh, by the way, start the kicker for the Ravens as well.

Charlie Frye, QB, Raiders
With 55 degree weather in Denver, Charlie Frye should struggle and against Brian Dawkins and Champ Bailey don't expect the scene to be pretty for Frye. I think Oakland will struggle and like I said, lose 30-13. Frye has had a long break from the NFL and I don't think he will shine today.

Cadillac Williams, RB, Buccaneers
Even against Seattle, Tampa Bay should trail early and pass it a lot, but knowing you have a rookie QB doesn't help Williams. He probably won't get many carries and with some bad weather going on in Seattle, don't expect much from Williams. I have Seattle winning 27-14 and Williams having a rough day.
