5 Ohio State @ Penn State
The Big Ten Game of the year is back in Happy Valley, and Penn State won last year 13-6 to secure the Big 10. Ohio State is looking for revenge and a Rose Bowl bid, and this game is the Big 10 game of the year.

4 USC vs. California
Many fans will not agree, but Jahvid Best, Kevin Riley, Marvin Jones and co are capable of beating USC. This game will decide the Pac-10, and if USC will be able to go back to the Rose Bowl with Notre Dame, Cal, and Oregon all on the road.

3 Alabama vs. Ole Miss
The Tide and Rebels will be fighting to face Florida [or Georgia, etc] in the SEC Title, and this game will decide a BCS bid and possibly a National Title bid. The Rebels have Alabama and LSU at home, and are looking to make their first BCS Game in a very long time.

2 USC vs. Ohio State
The Non-conference game of the year and the game to prove that Navy was nothing for Ohio State is here in Columbus. The Buckeyes want revenge, and this will decide a BCS spot if the winner of this game doesn't win their conference.

1 Texas vs. Oklahoma
The game to decide the Big 12 and possibly a BCS Title bid is back as Oklahoma takes on Texas. The Sooners lost to BYU, so it could be tough for them to gain a BCs Title spot even with a win here, but Texas has a guaranteed BCS Title spot if they win all their Big 12 games. OU can also get back.

Runners-up: Texas vs. Oklahoma State, Florida vs. LSU, Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech, TCU vs. BYU

Bears likely headed to Sun Bowl

Prior to the 2009 season, Cal fans said the Sun Bowl was "unacceptable". At this time, apparently they can accept it. With a win over Washington on Saturday, Cal has almost a guaranteed Sun Bowl berth. If Cal and USC win, the Bears can book flights to El Paso. If Arizona upsets USC and Cal wins, Cal might get picked over Arizona to go to the Holiday Bowl. If not, the Sun Bowl would pick them for a New Year's Day game versus probably Oklahoma. The Bears are the only team that has never been to the Sun Bowl, but Cal fans shouldn't get too excited. Their next opponent, Washington, beat USC and Arizona at home and they are coming off of a win over Washington State in the Apple Cup. I think Kevin Riley outplays Jake Locker and Shane Vereen has a big day and Cal will take the Huskies 37-17. The Script - That Is, the Revised Script - Had This Super Bowl Matchup All Along

Screenwriter Goodell has done it again! It's admittedly not the script I saw written in the stars - or rather in the combination of the NFL's Super Bowl logo and a Memphis radio station's (now) false advertising. The best explanation is that not even Goodell could have foreseen the Taylor Swift effect - and called in the cast midseason to push the Chiefs' Super Bowl hangover back one more year at Baltimore's expense. When the Harbaugh family threatened to sue, he called in a favor to the NCAA - and Jalen Milroe - to have Jim pocket the family's due 2023 ring. And then, to give big bro the upper hand, inflicted Jim with the worst curse in all of sports - that of the LA Chargers. Equilibrium is restored. Wild Card Weekend Predictions

I haven't been this excited for the NFL playoffs in a long time. For the first time in at least five years, all 12 teams can legitimately win this year's Super Bowl. Everyone knew the Bills and Titans were never going to win it all last year. Neither were the 2016 Raiders with third-string quarterback Connor Cook at the helm. Injuries and random luck struck the past few years, but not this year. Both six seeds (the Colts and the Eagles) are hot at the right time and dangerous. Both 4 seeds (often the weakest team since a bad team can win a mediocre division) are backed by solid defenses. We used to see a lot of Wild Card teams wreck havoc in the postseason. The 2007 Giants and 2010 Packers were both Wild Card teams, and the 2011 Giants and 2012 Ravens were both 4 seeds that played on Wild Card weekend. Amazingly, the last five Super Bowl champions have been number one overall seeds, and every single Super Bowl participant in the last five years earned a first-round bye. I...
