Sprite Slam Dunk Contest
Nate Robinson became the first player ever to win 3 Sprite Slam Dunk contests as he got 51% of the fans vote with a dunk where he tossed the ball of the backboard, then he turned around and he slammed it home on the reverse jam. DeMar DeRozan, the Raptors rookie, did a dunk where he swung the ball around his hips and he slammed it in, but the Cowboys cheerleaders Nate used might have been a little much. DeRozan won the Dunk-In vs. Eric Gordon of the Clippers last night, but even his dunk that got him to the finals wasn't enough. Teammate Sonny Weems tossed the ball off the side of the backboard, and DeRozan grabbed it and he completed the reverse jam. He got a perfect score of 50. Robinson got in with a dunk where he bounced the ball near the hoop and slammed it in. Shannon Brown and Gerald Wallace where the other contestants.

H-O-R-S-E Competition
Kevin Durant won his second straight H-O-R-S-E competition and he remains the only H-O-R-S-E champion ever. Durant had 2 letters when he started hitting jump shots and knocking Rajon Rondo, who had 4 letters around, and then he put him away with a 3 from the right side of the rack. Omri Casspi couldnt knock anyone out, and Casspi ended up getting out when Rondo and Durant had a combined 4 letters, less than Casspi's 5. Durant was unmissable, and his jump shooting was phenomenal. He hit 4 straight jumpers but it took a while to eliminate Rondo. Durant racked up 4 letters then came back and won last year, and this year he won the second of 2 H-O-R-S-E competitions.

Taco Bell Skills Challenge
Steve Nash won his second Skills Challenge with a 29.9 second time as eh had no trouble passing, dribbling, shooting layups or, except for his one miss, shooting longer shots. Deron Williams of Utah, the runner-up, couldn't handle the passing as he looked ready to upset Nash. But he couldn't, and Nash won it. Just last night, the Canadian was lighting the torch at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Brandon Jennings and Russell Westbrook were the other contestants. Westbrook couldn't handle anything, and Jennings had trouble passing.

Haier Shooting Stars Competition
TNT Analyst Kenny Mayne showed that he still could shoot, and Dirk Nowitzki and Becky Hammon of the San Antonio Silver Stars played like the pros they are as team Texas won the Haier Shooting Stars competition. Mayne finished off team LA, team Atlanta and Team Sacramento with a near half-court shot with 32.5 left that gave Dallas the W. Brent Barry kept team LA in it with a near-half court shot a minute into their time. Team L.A was the runner-up, while Team Atlanta got 3rd and Team Sacramento got last.

Foot Locker 3 Point Shootout
Paul Pierce has won a title, proved to be an amazing inside threat, and he won Finals MVP! What else is left for Pierce? A 3 point competition title. He just got that too. Pierce hit 4 out of five moneyballs, where you get 2 points instead of 1, and he overtook Chauncey Billups and Stephen Curry for the title. Pierce scored 17 in the first round, and Billups got the same score, and then Curry hit 4 of 5 from the side and 4 of 5 from the left side. Curry finished with 18, and after bad playing by Danilo Gallinari, Channing Frye, and defending champion Daquean Cook, the finals were set. Billups only got 14, and he was feeling the pressure. He would finish third. Pierce went, and he kept hitting and he racked up 20 points. Curry, the rookie had trouble handling the pressure, and he struggled and couldn't hit enough moneyballs to win.

Winter Olympic Update: Switzerland's Simon Ammann wins ski jumping gold with 141.0 score, beating Adam Larynz. Sven Kramer of the Netherlands took home gold, and he set an Olympic record with a 6:14:60 time in speedskating. Apolo Anton Ohno won silver, helping the Americans secure 4 medals on the opening day of the Games.

Kentucky vs. Tennessee
John Wall scored 24 points; Eric Bledsoe's 3 point shooting was great in the second half and Kentucky rallied from a 52-50 deficit to beat Tennessee 73-62. Bledsoe shot 3 of 4 from beyond the arc in the second half, and he finished the game shooting 50% from 3 point land. It helped key a 20-4 run that gave the Wildcats the W. Tennessee played the Cats very tight in the first half, and the needed spark for the Wildcats from the crowd was not provided. 2 3's helped Tennessee stop what was a 17-4 run and start a 10-2 one. Tennessee led by 5; Kentucky by 8 in the first half. The score was 30-29 Kentucky. Bobby Maze didn't score until the 2:49 mark during the first half, but he started the second half on fire. He helped cut the score to 37-36, then the Vols went up 52-50. But then Kentucky took over. John Wall scored 6 of 10 points on a 10-0 run that had the Cats up 60-52. Eric Bledsoe scored 10 straight points after Tennessee cut the score to 60-56, and then the Cats led 70-56. Bledsoe finished the day with 16 points.
